What with getting a new puppy, having to take care of my mother, and going horse riding all summer, I haven't have much of a chance to exercise Ollie. He's been lucky to get half an hour of play time a day, none of which involves jumping. So, technically, he hasn't jumped for two months. Now that I'm going back to school, I have to get him back into hopping shape. I thought that I would start a Progress Blog, so you guys can track how he's going.
I think that I will start tonight, and get him moving over a few smaller jumps, just to get his joints moving again. He's two years old now, so he's winding down on his training a little bit to give him a rest. A few days ago, I picked him up out of his hutch to hug him, and I never noticed how cuddly he was.
I'll keep you posted!

Yesterday I ended up taking Ollie out for a gentle training session. It seems that all of my bars have gone missing, so I only had two to work with. Ollie has gotten a tad overweight, so he was rather "low" over the jumps. The jumps were small, only about 20ish cm high, so Ollie wasn't too worried about them. He's a bit sluggish, but he's much calmer and easier to work with than before. I'm going to try a 30cm jump today, and a lot of bounce jumps to get him moving. On Monday I'll take some photos and videos so you guys can see how he's going.
